Wild and Free the Store – Craftsmanship with character

My name is Danielle and I have been coming to Kenya my whole life. Over the years I have built a strong bond with the country and developed a great appreciation for the craftsmanship and creativity of the people there. Wild and Free the Store was born from the desire to build something that makes you happy. A place where you can find something beautiful with a good feeling: handmade sisal basket bags, pareos and plaids that combine quality, character and responsibility. Our collection exudes the feeling of peace, travel and freedom - as if you are taking a little piece of vacation home with you.

What we do

We work with small workshops and craftsmen mainly in Kenya who make their products with pride and craftsmanship. Each item is handmade, from natural materials, and with respect for traditions and people. We consciously choose sustainable materials and fair production, where we pay the makers a fair price. In this way we contribute to a better life for them and we make a difference for our planet.

What makes us different?

At Wild and Free it is all about conscious choices. No mass production, but a carefully selected collection that you wear or use with pleasure and pride. Our products are simple, timeless and functional – but always with a special detail or story. We believe that buying something beautiful does not have to be complicated, as long as it is made with care and chosen with respect.
